Detroit will do it when nobody else will?

Detroit lions have ignored the best running back in football to give him some help years ago in Barry Sanders, and now they want to pickup a loser who gains 2 yards per carry on average in Shawn Alexander who has quit on his fans and his teamates and the NFL, and why? Why not do something about KITNA?
