What do you think about the way dumbledore died?

After the first 6 books he seemed to have died in a lame way, to me at least. Not in the heat of battle like serius or his parents....it just seemed kind of lame for one of the greatest wizards ever. He should have at least fell to Voldemort. What do you think?
