What are some easy testable science myths?

I need to do a science experiment and write a Lab report. It needs to answer a question and I need to learn something new - so don't put really obvious one's. Also, I need to test it at home and should be able to get the materials REALLLY easily. Plus the experiment should be easy to do. I was thinking of doing a test whether you do actually slip on banana peals, but thats too simple. Then I though of testing whether the 5 second rule works, but that's a bit complicated and I CAN'T AT ALL GET THE MATERIALS NECESSARY! I need some in the range of the simplicity of like this experiemnt : testing whether 2 magnets taped together loose their attraction? PLUS I NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO THE EXPERIMENT/TEST IN LIKE 1-6 DAYS! So ya, can u guys give me some, its URGENT!!! THANKS!!!
