Do people accept liabilities over rivalries?
I've noticed that in our national political debate on our economic system the proponents of free market capitalism denounce socialist alternatives. However, do they not make such political discussions inevitable? Capitalism is a system that in theory works off of the concept of infinity when in fact it works off of finite resources that determine value. Possessing an edge works in favor of the edgy. Therefore those with the edge have a vested interest in maintaining their advantage. Since those with the edge have the power, and they can game the system to set up a cl of losers, they have choices. Namely, empower their potential rivals in true faith of the notion that empowerment of the individual leads to empowerment of all, or live in hypocrisy where they work to maintain their 'edge' and must accept the liabilities(socialism) that result from their economic power, namely the unemployed and underemployed. In conclusion, if you are more willing to subsidize a loser you helped create instead of accepting the competition of a rival you helped empower how can you debase socialism?
